The Harmony of Revelation

This web site is based upon the simple assumption that the Book of Revelation contains seven parallel accounts of the end times that can be harmonized into a clear picture of what happens during the Last Days. By following this simple assumption to its logical conclusion, you can uncover many startling mysteries of Biblical prophecy that have remained hidden for more than two thousand years.

A few of these recently uncovered mysteries are mentioned in the paragraphs below. Many others are contained within the web pages listed in the Index at the bottom of this page.

Chapter 1 of this web site shows how God has kept the above simple assumption, possibly the key to unlocking all Biblical prophecy, closed up and sealed until today, near the time of the end.

Chapter 2 shows that Revelation really does contain seven separate accounts; that all seven accounts contain parallel information, and that this information can be harmonized into a single, consistent, detailed, and unique picture of the Last Days. One aspect of this picture is that Revelation divides time into seven distinct periods appropriately called the Seven Days of Revelation.

The Front Flyleaf of this web site is the heart of the Harmony of Revelation because it concisely summarizes the final result, tabulating how each of the scriptural passages in each of the seven accounts relates to each of the seven days. This seven-by-seven matrix illustrates clearly which days are emphasized by which accounts (the black cells), which days are mentioned by which accounts (dark gray cells), and which days are ignored by which accounts (the light gray cells).

Chapter 2 goes on to show that when the passages themselves are ignored and only their locations within the matrix are considered, an amazing geometrical pattern emerges that depicts graphically the complete Gospel of Jesus Christ. More specifically, the geometric pattern (of light gray, dark gray, and black cells) shows that the path of salvation (that leads through the sin-stained world of man to eternal life in heaven with the Triune God) requires us to turn away from our sin toward Jesus Christ (the Son of God) who bore our sins on the cross of Calvary. The pattern also shows that our salvation begins and ends with Christ who is the center of all creation and the doorway into heaven. In my opinion, the uncovering of this mystery is so impressive that it should convince anyone that God really does intend for Revelation to be interpreted according to the above harmonistic assumption. It also should convince anyone that the seven accounts of Revelation really have been harmonized correctly. Otherwise a different, incomplete, or flawed pattern would have resulted in a distorted interpretation of the Gospel.

Furthermore, since the number seven means “perfect” or “complete” (according to Biblical numerology), we can conclude that the prophecy contained in the seven-by-seven matrix of the Harmony of Revelation must be “perfectly complete”. In other words, Revelation by itself is sufficient to gain a complete understanding of Biblical prophecy without having to resort to any other prophetic scripture. This not only greatly simplifies the task of deriving a clear and consistent model of eschatology; it also allows that model to be tested against all other Biblical prophecies. No other model of eschatology throughout all of history has ever had to face such a stringent test.

Chapters 3 through 10 discuss in detail the events and chronology predicted by the Harmony of Revelation, Chapter 11 summarizes these predictions, and the Back Flyleaf briefly outlines some of the distinctive features of this unique model of eschatology.

A few of the many predictions that distinguish harmonism from other interpretations of Bible prophecy are given here:

(1)    According to the Harmony of Revelation, essentially everyone who ever gets saved throughout all of history will do so during the current Church Age while the Holy Spirit is still restraining Satan’s deceptive power and still convicting men of their sins. This is because very few people had an opportunity to be saved before Christ and because very few people will repent unto salvation once Satan regains his full power of deception.

(2)    This Church Age will last approximately 2000 years before Christ spews the lukewarm church out of his mouth and begins refining it through a period of severe persecution. Therefore, the opportunity for salvation is rapidly coming to an end.

(3)    Once the Holy Spirit stops restraining Satan, the full power of the Trinity of Evil will be unleashed upon the world: The Spirit of Evil, communism, will amaze the world by rising up from its apparently fatal wound and eventually conquering the whole earth. The resulting United World Government will be universally recognized as the source of all blessings, wisdom, and knowledge; as possessing all power, authority, and dominion; and as being worthy of everyone’s worship, adoration, and allegiance. The Son of Evil, Satan incarnate, the human Antichrist, will reign supreme as the head of this United World Government. And the Father of Evil, (Satan himself) will be the unseen supernatural force behind all of this worldly power.

(4)    For three and a half years, the world will experience a period of unprecedented prosperity and sinful pleasure while Christians are persecuted essentially to the point of extinction.

(5)    Then a total economic collapse will thrust the whole world into a three-and-a-half year period of unimaginable devastation. Most of world’s population will be killed by war, plague, and famine; and the ecology of the planet will be almost totally destroyed. Only those few remaining Christians (who passed through the previous period of intensive persecution) will escape the horrors of this ordeal (because they will be protected supernaturally by God)

(6)    By the end of this period of desolation, the Antichrist will finally regain complete control of the world except for the tiny nation of Israel who has just come to realize that Jesus Christ has always been their long awaited Messiah, Savior, and Lord. Furious at Israel’s conversion to Christianity, the Antichrist assembles all the armies of the world to surround Jerusalem and completely annihilate all the Jews.

(7)    But just as the Antichrist is about to give the final command to attack Jerusalem, Jesus Christ appears in the clouds, followed by the hosts of heaven and met by the raptured saints. He descends from the sky and proceeds to destroy all of sinful mankind. The earth itself is not destroyed at that time, but allowed to continue its existence at least long enough for the birds of the air and the beasts of the field to gather together and feast upon the carnage of human flesh.

(8)    Eventually our present universe passes away, the Satanic Trinity is cast alive into hell, the dead are raised, the books are opened, everyone is judged according to their works, and every non-Christian is cast into the eternal torment of hell.

(9)    Then Christians are raised up to enter a magnificent New Heaven and New Earth, their tears are wiped away, and they live joyfully and eternally in the presence of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Chapters 12 through 14 show how the Harmony of Revelation can be tested against New Testament prophecies, Old Testament prophecies, and even future events. The fact that harmonistic eschatology has been able to pass all these tests in the past provides strong evidence that it will continue to predict what is actually going to happen in the future.

However, Chapter 15 points out that the ultimate test of a model of eschatology is not its ability to correctly predict the future. The ultimate test is how that model affects the lives of those who believe it – whether or not it strengthens their relationship with Christ and improves their service to the Lord. Since the outcome of this test depends more upon the believer than what is believed, one concludes that the Harmony of Revelation is not for everyone. Apparently, God wants different people to believe different things at different times in order to accomplish different tasks in accordance with his specific will for those people at those times.

Nevertheless, for you who are intrigued by this unique model of eschatology and want to pursue a deeper understanding of the subject, I have included various Appendices to assist you in your effort.

But whether you want to probe deeply into the subject or simply skim the surface, it is my prayerful desire that everyone who visits this web site may gain a better understanding of Biblical prophecy and experience some of the wonder and amazement that I experienced when I first encountered this fascinating interpretation of prophetic scripture.
